Risen!

“Then, as they were afraid and bowed their faces to the earth, they said to them, ‘Why do you seek the living among the dead?’ ” “He is not here, but is risen!”. Luke 24:5,6

My dearest and precious friends in Christ! Greetings to you all in the matchless name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

It is always a joy to be getting in touch with you all through these blogs. It’s always a pleasure to recount what our Lord has done for us and to burst forth in rejoicing in Him!

I believe this Easter was a blessing to you all and that the Lord’s abundant grace was poured out into your lives and families. Glory to God.

As I wondering, praying and thinking as to what would be a perfect message to deliver for this month, specially as we have celebrated the resurrection of our Saviour, the Lord reminded me of one promise – very sure and very true.

1 Corinthians 15: 20-28 says,

“But now Christ is risen from the dead, and has become the first fruits of those who have fallen asleep.

For since by man came death, by Man also came the resurrection of the dead.

For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ all shall be made alive.

But each one in his own order: Christ the first fruits, afterward those who are Christ’s at His coming.

Then comes the end, when He delivers the Kingdom to God the Father, when He puts an end to all rule and all authority and power.

For He must reign till He has put all enemies under His feet.

The last enemy that will be destroyed is death.

For He has put all things under his feet. But when He says “all things are put under Him,” it is evident that He who put all things under Him is excepted.

Now when all things are made subject to Him, then the Son Himself will also be subject to Him who put all things under Him, that God may be all in all.”

Hallelujah! My dearest friend, this is a promise – that the Lord has won over death and will also put it to shame before He hands over the Kingdom to God the Father in complete victory.

I believe this for your life today! John 10:10 records our Saviour’s words in this manner, “I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.”

Having revealed this promise, I wanted to share a small testimony. There was a little stray dog (Whitey we named her) that used to often come to our home for shelter and food. She had a large tumor near to her private parts and suffered due to excessive bleeding from it. Everyday I used to see this little one, I used to long for a miracle, if in some way the tumor would just vanish and the dog would live. Months passed and one fine day she suddenly disappeared. She never returned back for food or cuddling since then. A very honest thought in my mind was that she had passed away and hence was not to be found anywhere. Meanwhile my sister had prayed and cried if someone will be able to get her operated in a government firm for animals. My dad and uncle went searching for her everyday after she went missing. She was no where to be found! Months rolled by again and we had to move to another town in view of my mother’s treatment. All of a sudden one day as we were on video call with my aunt who was back in our hometown, she suddenly cried saying my younger sister had spotted Whitey and she was waiting right outside our gate! Guess what!! The tumor was gone! Completely gone! Our joy knew no bounds. We didn’t understand what had happened. As if in answer to all our prayers specially my sister’s, our neighbours had registered with the government firm for Whitey’s surgery and they had operated on her, nursed her and left her back in the same place! Praise God!

I’m not sure if this story sounds significant to you or not my friend, but there is not one place, one creation where His love is not found or His compassion has failed. God is good and only He is.

My dear friend, this month the Lord promises you Life and life in abundance with the authority over death and death being under your feet (Psalm 110:1 ; Hebrews 1:13, 2:8). Not just in your life but in every single aspect of your life. Whatever concerns you, be assured, the Lord is there! (Psalm 46:1)

We have Risen with Christ, not just in the days to come but right now, right here on this earth.

The promise is yours, freely yours because of what our Saviour has done for us on the Cross.

Claim it, proclaim it and own it! The enemy is under your feet! Hallelujah!

As we step forward into the remaining days of this month and in our lives ahead, may the rule of our Sovereign Lord be over us!
